Where independent Indian sound finds its voice. Raw, rooted and made to be felt.
Malhar Records is an independent music label from India, created for artists who have something real to say.
Inspired by the Indian monsoon raga that brings rain to dry land, Malhar exists to bring fresh music to listeners everywhere. We back independent artists, producers and songwriters, giving them a home where their creativity comes first and their music reaches the people who need to hear it.
We believe the next great sounds will come from independent artists. Our vision is to build a label that is open, fair and fearless, where tradition and new ideas play on the same record.
Creative freedom and fair partnerships. Every artist keeps their identity and their voice.
Folk, classical, indie, fusion. We celebrate India's musical heritage while pushing it forward.
Taking independent Indian music to listeners across every platform and every border.
Honest storytelling and quality production, made with care from the first note to the final master.
“Every artist deserves a stage, and every song deserves to be heard.” The Malhar Records Promise
